UpandUps deploys event teams across Belgium — in Wallonia, Brussels, Flanders and the German-speaking Community — as well as in Luxembourg. Depending on your project, we find and build the team best suited to the location, audience and specific requirements of your event, whether it’s a local assignment or a multi-site rollout.

Our selection process takes place in several stages. Each candidate registers through our online form and is added directly to our staff management system.

For each assignment, we then carry out an initial selection based on objective criteria from the brief: location, languages, availability and any other event-specific requirements. Matching candidates receive the assignment offer through their app.

When a candidate is available, our team speaks with them directly to present the assignment and make sure their profile, attitude and motivation are the right fit for the project and the brand.

For a first assignment with UpandUps, we also provide on-site follow-up. Experienced team members who are already known to us benefit from their assignment history, while still being subject to occasional on-site evaluations, including mystery shopper checks.

This approach allows us to go beyond simply selecting people based on a CV: we look for the right person for the right assignment and the right brand.

Once the team has been selected by UpandUps and approved by the client, we work with the client to gather all the information needed to ensure the assignment runs smoothly.

Detailed job description, assignment objectives, dress code, schedule, location, specific instructions and practical information: nothing is left to chance.

Each team member then receives their full briefing directly through the app, along with their contract. This means all the information remains accessible at any time, both before and during the assignment.

For larger-scale projects or assignments requiring specific preparation, we can also organise an in-person team briefing, either at our offices or directly at the client’s premises. The client can then present their brand, activation, objectives and expectations directly to the team.

The goal remains the same: to make sure everyone arrives on site prepared, informed and ready to perform their role in the best possible conditions.

Each team member checks in and out through our app. On the ground, our teams are supervised either by an UpandUps team leader or by the client, depending on the project.

We also regularly visit events to make sure the assignment is running smoothly and to speak directly with the client. If anything unexpected comes up, we respond quickly and, whenever the project allows, arrange backup staff to cover any potential absence.

Belgium is multilingual, and so are our teams. We have a large network of French- and Dutch-speaking staff, many of whom also speak English. Depending on the needs of your event, we can also select German- or Luxembourgish-speaking staff.

Language is an integral part of our selection criteria: we build the team based on your audience and the region where your event takes place.

Our playing field is incredibly broad: corporate events, trade shows, conferences, festivals, brand activations, product launches, sporting events, retail or hospitality activations, parties, VIP events… Every project is different, and that’s exactly what we love about it.

We build the team around your event and the roles that need to be covered: welcoming guests, promotion, sales, service, entertainment, logistics, guest assistance or stewardship.

Certain specific roles, such as security, are subject to specific regulations and are not part of our services.

The earlier, the better. For a one-off event, allowing 15 to 20 days generally gives us enough time to select the most suitable people. For recurring activations, such as retail sales or sampling campaigns, we often work with quarterly schedules.

Certain periods, particularly festival season, are especially busy, so planning ahead gives you access to a wider choice of profiles.

Got a last-minute request? We can move quickly and look for a team up to 72 hours before your event, but this will always depend on availability. If we can’t guarantee staffing that meets the standards of your project, we’ll tell you straight away.

Yes. UpandUps can build and coordinate large-scale teams, adapting the setup to the needs and complexity of each project.

Team leaders, role allocation, briefing, coordination and on-the-ground follow-up: we structure the organisation so that every team member knows where to be, what to do and who to report to.

We respond immediately. For large-scale events, we can arrange backup staff to anticipate potential absences. For smaller teams, we immediately start looking for a replacement and do everything we can to put a solution in place as quickly as possible.

Yes. We have outfits available for certain hospitality assignments and can also have custom clothing produced in your brand colours. If you already have your own outfits or branded clothing, we can of course use those.

Yes. All our staff are hired directly by UpandUps, under fixed-term, student or flexi-job contracts depending on the person and the assignment. We handle all staff administration directly: nothing is outsourced.

The rate depends primarily on your job description and the type of profile you’re looking for. A hospitality role, mascot, brand ambassador or team leader will have different requirements and therefore different rates.

Yes. We apply a minimum charge of 4.5 hours per person, per assignment. An assignment can therefore be shorter, but it will still be billed at 4.5 hours.
